Andrew Richard has joined The Picard Group, a national governmental affairs and consulting services firm based in Lafayette, Louisiana, with offices in Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C. He will serve as managing director of consulting services alongside Natalie Person, director of consulting services. Mr. Richard will enhance the firm’s executive level consulting, which focuses on analysis and integration of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, health care reimbursement, revenue cycle operations, and managed care payor negotiations.

Prior to joining The Picard Group, he served as vice president of finance at Schumacher Clinical Partners, a Lafayette-based emergency physician company which serves as the nation’s third largest emergency medicine and hospitalist management firm operating in 32 states. At Schumacher, Mr. Richard oversaw all aspects of corporate development, financial planning and management, including creating and managing an annual $1.5 billion+ budget. He brings a wealth of knowledge in corporate and business development, financial modeling, managed care strategy and analytics. Prior to his work at Schumacher Clinical Partners, Mr. Richard served as an associate in Constellation Energy’s commodity trading office in Houston, Texas where he oversaw reporting and risk analytics, in addition to structuring long-term asset and pipeline transactions.

“We are very excited to have someone with Andrew’s depth of business knowledge and experience to lead our consulting division. His national network of relationships in healthcare, energy and finance will offer our clients an unparalleled degree of resources and talent,” said Tyron Picard, founder and Principal of The Picard Group.

Mr. Richard will be operating out of both the Lafayette and Washington, D.C. offices of The Picard Group.

A Louisiana native, Mr. Richard is a graduate of McNeese State University where he earned a Bachelor of Finance degree with a concentration in economics. He dedicates his time to numerous community organizations and resides in Iota, LA with his wife and three young children.

In addition to this exciting news, we also bid farewell to one of our most valued team members, Gwen Guillotte, who has served as The Picard Group’s senior director of healthcare policy and services for the last four years. Mrs. Guillotte will be joining LHC Group, a national provider of non-acute healthcare services based in Lafayette, LA, as vice president of payor strategies where she will oversee their managed care department. The Picard Group looks forward to continued work with her as a friend and client.
