Tyron Picard is the founder and Principal of The Picard Group. Picard has developed a proven record of bipartisan legislative accomplishments on both the state and federal level. He was awarded the 2008 American Ambulance Association’s President’s Award for his efforts leading the industry’s National Political Action Committee and his role in assisting with passage of Federal Medicare Ambulance Payment Reform in 2008. In 2003, he served as Deputy Chair of Louisiana Governor Kathleen Babineaux Blanco’s transition team, and in 2007 served as a member of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal’s Department of Environmental Quality transition team.

During his twelve-year tenure, Acadian grew from 600 employees to over 3,000 employees and from $70 million in sales to $350 million in sales.  Prior to joining Acadian in 1998, he was a partner in the Lafayette business law firm of Picard & Stipe, L.L.P.

Picard currently serves as Chairman-elect of the Board of Directors of the Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL) and was selected to join the Louisiana Committee of 100 for Economic Development.
